In March 2024, Tom Karangelov and I set off for Japan to work on our article for Issue #8, with nothing but our phones to capture the moments. Enter Rob Taro—the mastermind behind the Timescan video series—who showed us around to all the spots, but also made sure Tom’s tricks were filmed properly. Huge thanks to Rob for making it happen! The video is a testament to the vibrant energy of Japan’s skate culture, packed with incredible footage of lots of local rippers, Tom, and a few familiar faces from abroad.
